Damon Braces are developed by Dr. Dwight Damon with Ormco. By combining passive self-ligating brackets with high-tech archwires, the Damon System Braces is a mechanical system allowing low forces to work in together with the biogical facial muscles, bone and tissue with low forces.

The original Damon braces and Damon 2 braces are metal based brackets with a unique clip mechanism in holding the archwaire. Damon3 consists of brackets that are half metal and half clear. Orthodontic treatment with Damon 3 braces are more aesthetics pleasing yet still follwoing the main self-ligating braces concept that the original Damon braces utilizes.
