Airflow Workstation
The Air-flow Air-polishing workstation is designed for professional removal of stains and calculus

Air-flow is an equipment that uses a jet formed by air, powder and water in cleaning stains off from teeth surfaces. Airflow removes dental plaque, soft deposits and surface stains from pits, grooves, interproximal spaces and precise stream and free-flow technology for a clogg-free and effective cleaning. smooth surfaces of the teeth.

At our BIDC, our dental center provides the choice of using conventional scalers and brushes for teeth scaling and polishing OR EMS Piezon technology for air-flow tooth polishing. The EMS Air-flow unit's small tip and high frequency scaling tool. The unit is also designed for complete sterilization in-line with our clinic's sterilization focus

Benefits of Airflow by EMS

  • air-polishing reliable
  • the air-water procedure for the removal of calculus (tartar) is time-effective. EMS Airflow enables a more gentle and effective scale within a shorter treatment timeframe than conventional scaling tools
  • air-polishing delivers patient comfort since it utilizes no curettes and uses just water
  • airflow makes no noise

Air-flow Treatments Types

Air-flow may be used in various dental treatments including:

  • Prophylaxis : Air-flow cleans and polishes the surfaces of the teeth better with a smooth and fresh feeling
  • Prosthetics Dentistry: Air-flow removes superficial contamination and smear layer to ensure that composites, porcelain inlays, dental crowns, dental bridges and laminate or veneers bond properly.

  • Preventive Dentistry : air-flow may be used for cleaning teeth thoroughly to improve fluoride uptake.
  • Orthodontics : Air-flow is used cleaning fixed bands and brackets. Air-flow can also be used for preparing the tooth surface for bonding brackets and removing bracket adhesive that is air-flow cleans prior to bonding orthodontic brackets
  • Periodontics : Removes dental plaque and hence helps preventing periodontal diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis; Air-flow cleans and opens fissures for sealing

The AIR-FLOW System is a method of professional mechanical tooth cleaning for selective removal of plaque and stains from all tooth surfaces using EMS devices. It delivers a controlled stream of fine powder particles to the tooth surface through water spray and compressed air.
